The five Founders mentioned previously still enjoy organizing dissection courses for you every year. We started organizing courses when we were still training to become plastic surgeons. We first founded Kortjakje, an organization of plastic surgery registrars who organizes training and courses for plastic surgeons two times a year on various topics. Since 2002 Kortjakje has become a main event for plastic surgical training in the Netherlands.
The next level was organizing fresh frozen cadaver course. Since 2003 we organized 7 fresh frozen cadaver courses. Topics covered were Face, Nose, Hand and Wrist. Venue of our courses is the anatomy department of the University of Utrecht Medical Centre. The courses are in English.
Dr Tulp is a non-profit organization. Dr Tulp is officially recognized by the Dutch goverment as an ANBI (a non-commercial foundation). Dr Tulp is fully supported by the Dutch association of plastic surgeons (NVPC).
